Built by fantasy baseball players, for fantasy baseball players, draftmvp.com is designed for anyone that wants a tested competitive edge. Want to meet the team we fielded?
Home state: New York
Team: Yankees
Player: Dave Winfield
Cyrus brings over 10 years of fantasy baseball experience to the team but equally important are his 10+ years developing internet technology and software. When he isn't thinking about the New York Jets, Cyrus develops low cost solar cells as he works towards his doctoral degree in Energy & Resources at U.C. Berkeley. Cyrus' greatest sports achievement includes the elusive .000 batting average as a career platoon left fielder in little league. In his spare time, Cyrus can be found at the ballpark covered in peanut shells as he hand scores the entire game. Cyrus conceived the concept behind DraftMVP after reaching the realization that his lifelong dream of inventing powdered beer was unlikely.
Home state: New Hampshire
Team: Red Sox
Player: Anyone with first name Big and last name Papi
Life Ambition: Finally grow some chest hair
Jason has over 10 years of fantasy sports experience and has gladly put the pre-internet days of running fantasy leagues by hand in a basement in New Hampshire behind him. He has accumulated a lifetime of watching sports, memorizing stats, and pretending to be good at math. Based on dim memories of his undergraduate years at M.I.T., he is reasonably certain that that is where he met Cyrus Wadia and planted the seeds for the unholy alliance which would eventually become DraftMVP. Jason currently resides in San Francisco and spends his business hours staring at a computer screen and calling it environmental engineering. When he isn't playing with Excel for work, he's playing with Excel for fun. Jason has taunted Aaron Rowand for 9 full innings for no reason that he can remember, and his claim to fame is randomly meeting John Kruk once.
Home State: Washington
Team: Mariners
Player: Ken Griffey, Jr.
Life Ambition: Stop hanging out with dudes obsessed with chest hair
Robi brings 8 years of fantasy baseball experience to the table, along with a gigantic bag of Mariners-related baggage. You might recognize him in one of your leagues as the guy who drafts and then trades away his best players as they're reaching their peak. When he isn't cursing Adrian Beltre or Richie Sexson, Robi can be found in San Francisco "being entrepreneurial". Aside from a run-in with Edgar Martinez in the lumber section of Eagle Hardware, his favorite baseball memory is attending the 2007 All-Star game and witnessing Ichiro's inside-the-park homerun. Maybe this year will be the year that he actually drafts the guy.
Home State: New York
Team: Mets
Player: The entire '86 Mets lineup
Life Ambition: To beat Jason and Cyrus' fantasy baseball teams
Dion brings just about 1 years of fantasy baseball experience to the table although he has watched from the stands. He grew up and lives in Queens, NY within walking distance of Shea Stadium. When he isn't coding DraftMVP.com he is out taking a peek at the progress of Citi Field (soon to be the new home of the Mets). He has fond memories of growing up watching Fourth of July firework shows at Shea and seeing Strawberry, Nails and Mookie play the game. He has since put over 10 years of development experience under his belt and signed on with DraftMVP to make winners out of all of you.
